Thanksgiving Feast 2009: Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin "Midnight Brings Dark Death!"

Hai-YAHH, Groove-ophiles! Welcome back to the Groovy Age Thanksgiving Feast 2009! Now it's time for part one of the main course in which Shang Chi, Master of Kung Fu learns that "Midnight Brings Dark Death!" courtesy Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin (Special Marvel Edition #16, November 1973). Pile your plate full and pass the karate chops!

  1. I used to own all these with the Jim Starlin artwork and they were great. I had the Iron Fist as well that Gil Kane drew. Good stuff and happy to see ti once again.

  3. Hi Groovy One!
    Man I loved this issue as a kid & still do today. Midnight was one of my all time favorite villains. I was always hoping Marvel was going to bring him back. Team him up with the dead Copperhead villain, the Punisher, Paladin & say Ghost Rider. They would have been real Avengers! Hey maybe they could have called them the Justice INC, the Equalizers or the A-Team? I pitdy Da Fool, dat don't like my ideas.


    I was really happy when Roy Thomas did that Legion of Dead story line in the Avengers. It was great seeing the original Wonderman & Human Torch back in those issues as well. Thanks for posting another great comic I no longer own. SOB!! Tears!
